CLSEN Fabrics – Natural, Light, & Timeless
Knitted linen is different.
It has the same natural beauty as woven linen—but with more give, more softness, and a texture that feels personal from the first wear. Because of its structure, it asks for a little more attention. Treat it well, and it will reward you for years.
Washing
- Hand wash is always best. If using a machine, choose the delicate cycle and slip your garment inside a mesh laundry bag for extra protection
- Use cool water (max 30°C) and a gentle, natural detergent
- Wash separately or with other delicates—keep it away from zips, buttons, or anything that might catch
Drying
- After washing, gently press out excess water—never wring or twist
- Reshape your garment by hand and lay it flat on a clean towel in the shade
- Never hang knitted linen while wet. The weight of the water will pull it out of shape
Storage
- Once completely dry, fold and store in a cool, dry place
- Hanging for long periods can stretch knitted pieces—folding helps them keep their form
Reshaping & Care
- Knitted linen may feel slightly tighter after washing. This is normal
- To restore its original shape and softness, use a warm steam iron. Gently tease the fabric back to size with your hands as you steam
- A little steam and patience is all it takes
On Pilling
- With wear, you may notice small pills forming on the surface. This is not a flaw—it's a sign that the fibres are soft and alive
- To keep your knit looking smooth, use a cashmere comb or a gentle de-pilling tool. Light strokes are enough
Important
-
Do not tumble dry—heat will shrink and damage the fibres
-
Always check the care label inside your CLSEN garment for specific instructions
