CLSEN Fabrics – Natural, Light, & Timeless
Linen breathes. It moves. It lives with you.
At CLSEN, we choose linen not only for its texture and presence—but for what it stands for. Made from the flax plant, linen is naturally sustainable, biodegradable, and requires very little water or chemicals to produce. It’s breathable, quick-drying, and only gets softer with time. Every piece becomes uniquely yours.
To keep your linen at its best, here’s how to care for it:
Washing
- Machine wash on a gentle cycle or hand wash in cool water (max 30°C)
- Use a mild, natural detergent—avoid bleach or optical brighteners
- Wash separately or with similar lightweight fabrics; avoid mixing with denim or heavy items
- Skip the fabric softener—it can coat and stiffen the natural fibres
Drying
- Gently reshape your garment while damp and lay it flat on a towel to dry in the shade
- Never hang linen when wet—it may stretch out of shape
- Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve colour and fibre strength
Storage
- Make sure your linen is completely dry before storing
- Store in a cool, dry place—fold or hang depending on your preference
- Embrace the creases. They’re part of linen’s natural beauty
Ironing
- If you prefer a smoother look, iron while the fabric is still slightly damp
- Lightly mist with water before ironing to relax the fibres and remove wrinkles with ease
Important
- Do not tumble dry—high heat can cause shrinkage and weaken the fibres
- Always check the care label inside your CLSEN garment for specific instructions
Linen asks for little, and gives back more over time.
Care for it gently, and it will carry you through seasons to come.
